What families often ask

What exactly happens during a Family Records Visit?

One of our organisers visits your home at an agreed time. Together you go through existing personal documents — certificates, policies, ownership papers — and sort them into labelled folders. We then print a short index so the whole household knows where everything is. We do not offer advice about the contents of the documents.

Is the Heritage Reference Workshop suitable for elderly parents?

Yes. Workshops are paced gently and can be conducted in Bahasa Malaysia or English. Adult children often attend together with parents, which makes the shared binder more meaningful. The workshop room is accessible and materials are printed in a comfortable font size.

How long does the Heritage Records Programme take?

The programme runs over several weeks with multiple sessions. The exact pace is agreed with you at the start. Most families complete the programme within four to six weeks, finishing with a printed heritage handbook that serves as a long-term reference for the household.

Do you offer legal or financial advice during sessions?

No. Heritline is a document organisation and heritage workshop service only. We help you sort, label, and index — we do not interpret, advise on, or give opinions about the legal or financial contents of any documents.

What are the costs and how do I pay?

The Family Records Visit is RM 530, the Heritage Reference Workshop is RM 1,250, and the Heritage Records Programme is RM 4,400. Payment details are shared after your booking is confirmed. We accept bank transfer and major e-wallets common in Malaysia.

How is my family's privacy protected?

We do not photograph, copy, or retain any records or personal information from your documents. Our facilitators sign a confidentiality undertaking before any session begins. Please read our Privacy Policy for the full details of how we handle personal data.
